The Curriculum
All students are ambitious and have the confidence to make fully informed decisions about their future.
All students have access to a wide range of educational opportunities, support and guidance to confidently fulfil their ambitions.
At Lawnswood School we are committed to ensuring that all our students in years 7 to 11 have high quality impartial advice on career opportunities as part of our Focus On Your Future Programme. It is very important to us that regular access to employers, independent expert guidance and workplace experiences supports students in making informed, realistic and educated decisions about their next steps.
Our Focus On Your Future programme provides access to differentiated, impartial and independent information and guidance about the range of options (including academic, vocational, apprenticeships) that are most likely to help our students to achieve their ambitions. We believe that giving students the best careers education and guidance is vital to improving their motivation to learn and help them to achieve.
Our commitment goes beyond the statutory minimum requirements and our provision is regularly audited against both the statutory Gatsby Benchmarks for Good Careers Guidance and the more aspirational Career Development Institute framework.
Our dashboard is updated weekly - be sure to visit regularly for opportunities and information.
