Students of the Month - February

Congratulations to our Students of the Month for February!  The winners will receive prizes in assembly during week beginning 12 March.

This month, the honours go to:

ANicole Ziviani – Year 7

Nicole has been particularly supportive in helping to initiate students new to the school and new to English, whilst also making excellent progress in her own lessons. What is remarkable about this is that the two students she has worked with and interpreted for both speak different languages! She is a quiet but determined student and her attendance and punctuality are also exemplary.

BSophia Zaman – Year 8

Few students have commendations from every subject. Sophia always tries her best in everything she does, in lessons, extracurricular activities and home learning. She is just as enthusiastic in maths as she is in dance. She contributes to class discussions and is focused on individual tasks. Always polite, helpful and supportive to others, Sophia is also punctual and has an excellent attendance record. She thoroughly deserves to be student of the month and receive the recognition her hard work deserves. Well done!

CJenni Riley – Year 9

Jenni is a highly regarded member of the form group who contributes well at every opportunity. She works hard in lessons and staff have commented that she goes above and beyond in terms of effort, attitude and approach to her studies. She is a conscientious member of the year group who has received a large number of positive comments from staff.

DRiley Lawless-Coombes – Year 10

Riley has been working extremely hard in many of her subjects and is a committed student. Particularly in drama, Riley has risen to many challenges with style, flare and creativity. Riley’s design work is exemplary and she always motivates others in her peer group, works her hardest and inspires those around her. Riley has excellent attendance and punctuality and is part of many extracurricular activities. Riley is always happy and polite and is a good role model for others.

EWill Walker – Year 11

Will is an exemplary student. He always meets school expectations and is respected by both students and staff as well as being respectful - Will always says "Thank you" at the end of a lesson. Will is keen to succeed and always acts upon advice given by staff in order to allow him to do so. The Y11 football team would be at a loss without him and I know that he is always supportive to friends in need - often assisting them with revision. Will is an accomplished mathematician and is a credit to his form, year group and Lawnswood School.
