Pupils in Years 7 & 8 recently took part in the Readathon scheme where they were sponsored to read for so many minutes/hours over a period of a month.
We are pleased to announce that £406.82 was raised and the money will be used to provide books for sick children in hospitals in the UK and pay for storyteller visits. The school earned £80 to spend on books for the Library. Research shows that pupils who choose to read regularly are more likely to do well in their exams and throughout their lives.
Well done and thank you to all who took part.
