Leeds Modern School for Boys founded as the Mathematical and Commercial School
Leeds Mechanics Institute set up a girls school The Ladies Educational Institute
The name of the school was changed to Leeds Girls’ School when they moved into the Mechanical Institute (now the site where Leeds City Museum) is sited
The school was renamed Leeds Girls’ Modern School
Leeds Modern School. Moved to Rossington Street
Leeds Modern School. Official opening of Leeds Modern School and Lawnswood High School for Girls by HRH Prince George.
The school moved to Lawnswood and took the name Lawnswood High School to share a site with Leeds Modern School for Boys. The two schools are separated by a joint swimming pool and dining room.
Leeds Modern School for Boys merged with Lawnswood High School for Girls to form Lawnswood School.
Lawnswood School became a comprehensive school.
The buildings are demolished and replaced by the current Lawnswood School building.
