Diversity Forum News

Pupils from the Diversity Forum have been busy making friendship bracklets, cards and videos with My Bright Kite charity.

My Bright Kite aims to empower and support the wellbeing and inclusion of young asylum seekers and refugees living in the UK and abroad. Our Diversity Forum got involved as they were keen to link with children in the Middle East. The Bareeq Centre in Jordan teaches displaced children from Syria, Afghanistan and Palestine.

The gifts and messages we sent were really well received and the pupils in Jordan sent us beautiful braclets and keyrings in return. We will be doing futher projects with this school in Jordan.

Going forward the Diversity Forum continue to work with Nola Ellen from My Bright Kite and have a number of things planned to continue promoting and raising awareness of issues around refugees and asylum seekers.
